Clever Sithole

Clever Sithole is a Gemstones Consultant with over 18 years of experience in the mining industry. He holds an MSc in Applied Entrepreneurship & Business Management and a BEng (Hons) in Mining Engineering & Mineral Processing. Clever worked as a Mineral Evaluator in Zimbabwe for 13 years, contributing significantly to the country's mining development. He served as Head Gemologist for a USAID gemstones value addition project in Afghanistan with DAI LLC, USA where he coordinated the establishment of the Silk Road Heart Gemmology Laboratory and Lapidary Centre to empower local artisans and enhance the gemstone value chain. An accredited gemologist, he studied at renowned institutions, including the Gemological Institute of America, HRD Antwerp, Indian Diamond Institute, Swiss Gemmological Institute, and others in Spain, Canada, South Africa and Israel. Clever is passionate about sustainable mining practices and strengthening ethical global gemstone supply chains.
