Adesuwa Dan-Princewill
Ms. Dan-Princewill is a seasoned international business attorney with a global perspective, shaped by her roots in Nigeria and the Caribbean and a passion for global harmony and environmental stewardship. Holding degrees from the University of Lagos and two Masters from the University of Houston Law Center (EENR and International Law), she was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. Her career is marked by facilitating international trade and investment, from her early role leading the legal department of Safetag (Nigeria) Ltd., to her current work assisting U.S.-based energy companies and international law firms with due diligence and compliance in Africa. Notably, she has represented The Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in the United States, demonstrating her expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments.
As a principal consultant with Rockwater Consulting Group, Ms. Dan-Princewill has received three consecutive US Congressional Awards for her strategic impact in target sectors, highlighting her ability to connect experts and drive meaningful results. Her expertise encompasses the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), Nigerian Local Content Law, and international business partnerships. As Chairperson of the Gold and Gemstone Conference and Exhibition (GGCE), a flagship Women In Mining In Nigeria (WIMIN) event, this annual gathering has grown into a collaborative partnership with the African Gem and Jewellery Exhibition and Conference (AGJEC). This pivotal event unites participants from over 34 African nations, drawing worldwide stakeholders to the mining sector and its value addition."
